Understanding ICSI
Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) is an advanced laboratory technique used alongside IVF, in which a single, healthy sperm is injected directly into the centre of an egg using a fine glass needle — rather than leaving fertilization to happen on its own.
ICSI is especially valuable when sperm quality, count or movement makes natural fertilization unlikely, giving couples a far better chance of achieving fertilization even in cases of severe male-factor infertility.

Fertilized eggs are cultured in the lab for 3–5 days, with our embryologists grading each embryo daily to identify the strongest candidates for transfer.

The healthiest embryo is transferred into the uterus in a short, painless procedure, followed by a beta hCG blood test around 14 days later to confirm pregnancy.
Is ICSI right for you?
ICSI is typically recommended when standard IVF fertilization is unlikely to succeed on its own. Common situations include:
Severe Male Factor Infertility
Very low sperm count, poor motility or abnormal shape that makes natural fertilization unlikely.
Previous Fertilization Failure
When eggs failed to fertilize with conventional IVF in a prior cycle, ICSI significantly improves the odds.
Surgically Retrieved Sperm
When sperm is retrieved directly from the testicle or epididymis, ICSI is needed to achieve fertilization.
Unexplained Fertilization Failure
